The military media wing said, On Friday Chief of Military Staff, Qamar Javed Bajwa met with a group of mountaineers who had arrived in Pakistan as part of the K-2 International Winter Expedition.

ISPR, in a statement, said that during the meeting held at the General Administrative Office, Cheif congratulated climbers for their excellent achievement in expanding the mighty K-2 in winter for the first time, thus making history in the field of mountaineering.

The delegation also briefed the head of the army on his experiences, saying that the mission turned out to be “a very important experience for them,” he thanked Pakistan for the warm hospital.

First to climb K-2 summit

According to a trekking company leading one of the missions, The team of Nepalese climbers made history after becoming the first to summit Pakistan’s K2 mountain in the winter.
